Piñatas!

The United States Postal Service will be hosting a first-day-of-issue ceremony on September 8, 2023 on the Chaves County Courthouse Lawn in Roswell, NM. The ceremony will take place at 6pm MDT as one of the main events for the 36th Annual Piñata Festival. Additional information about about piñatas can be found on the following websites:

About the Stamp

Víctor Meléndez created the original art and designed the stamps. Antonio Alcalá was the art director. The Piñatas! stamps feature four vibrant illustrations; two are of a donkey with either a bright pink or orange background, and two feature a seven-point star set against either a purple or green background. The stamp is being issued as a Forever stamp in a booklet of 20.
