Stamp Art Contest!
An art contest awards ceremony was held on June 3rd, at the Allentown Art Museum for Allentown School District students, who were challenged to create a postage stamp of their design to help our club celebrate its 100th anniversary this year. More than $1,000 in cash prizes were awarded to the top three students in the elementary, middle and high school categories. More than 500 students participated in the Commonwealth’s 4th largest school district. The winning entries will also be displayed at fall stamp show. For more information on this past event, please go here.
Attention Members
Our club meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month beginning at 7 pm at the American Legion Post 367, 609 Fullerton Ave., Whitehall, PA 18053. There is free parking. Individuals with inherited collections are invited to attend and are asked to arrive 20-30 minutes before the meeting starts to provide time for members to look at their collections. Anyone interested in the world’s number one hobby is encouraged to attend.
Our next club-sponsored stamp bourse, the Eastern PA Stamp Show (EPASS), will be held on October 28, 2023 at the Schnecksville Fire Hall, 4550 Old Packhouse Road, Schnecksville, PA 18078, from 9:30 am – 3 pm. The facility is fully air-conditioned and heated and the fire hall will provide food service for dealers and attendees. Benefits
Our meetings provide an excellent opportunity to connect with fellow philatelists who share your passion. At our gatherings, you can discuss, swap, buy, and sell stamps with other members. We also conduct auctions during odd-numbered months and organize stamp bourses for our members and those from other local clubs every few months. Plus, we host an annual social event where the club subsidizes members’ costs.
As a member, you can borrow library books for up to a month, with the possibility of extension if no one else requests the books. Our collection is detailed on the Library page.
