The United States Postal Service is celebrating the Chinese Lunar New Year with the release of the Year of the Snake stamp. The Year of the Snake begins on January 29, 2025, and ends on February 16, 2026. The first-day-of-issue event for this Forever stamp will be held in Boston and is free and open to the public. The event will take place at the Boch Center — Wang Theatre on January 14, 2025, at 11 a.m. EST.
The Year of the Snake is the sixth sign in the Chinese zodiac, symbolizing wisdom, intuition, and elegance. People born in the Year of the Snake are believed to be intelligent, graceful, and insightful.
