About Us

The Allentown Philatelic Society (aka. Allentown Stamp Club) meets on the first Tuesday of every month. The formal part of the meeting starts at 7 p.m., but many members arrive by 6:30 p.m. to buy, sell and trade. The meeting is located in the 2nd floor conference center at the St. Luke’s Hospital’s Sacred Heart Campus. The room numbers are 1A and 1B. The hospital is located at 421 Chew Street, Allentown, PA 18102. Free parking is provided in the parking lot adjacent to the conference center and is accessed from 5th Street.

Benefits

The meetings are a great place to network with other philatelic enthusiasts.
You have the opportunity to discuss, swap, buy and sell stamps with other members.

Auctions are conducted on odd months and audio-visual presentations are presented on even months. The A/V topics are selected by the members.

A spring dinner event is conducted by the club at a local restaurant; members’ costs are subsidized by the club.

Members can sign out library books for a month at a time but can extend their time period if no other member requests those books. Some items include the Scott Volume 1 through 6, Scott US Specialized and Scott Classic catalogs.
