Note: we do not send stamps to anyone. We do have a special table at our stamp show, EPASS, where young and new collectors can select stamps for free. So, if you are new to stamp collecting, please try to attend our next EPASS and we’re confident that you will find some nice stamps for your collection!
Stamp art contest!
Our club is sponsoring a stamp art contest in the Allentown School District in celebration of its 100th anniversary. All students in the school district are eligible to enter the contest. More than $1000 in prize money will be awarded to winning entries. For more information please go here.
Attention members!
Our club meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month beginning at 7 pm at the American Legion Post 367, 609 Fullerton Ave., Whitehall, PA 18053. There is free parking. Individuals with inherited collections are invited to attend and are asked to arrive 15-30 minutes before the meeting starts to provide time for members to look at their collections. Anyone interested in the world’s number one hobby is encouraged to attend.
Our club-sponsored stamp bourse, the Eastern PA Stamp Show (EPASS), will be held on July 8, 2023 at the Schnecksville Fire Hall, 4550 Old Packhouse Road, Schnecksville, PA 18078, from 9:30 am – 3 pm. The facility is fully air-conditioned and heated and the fire hall will provide food service for dealers and attendees. About Us
The Allentown Philatelic Society (aka. Allentown Stamp Club) is a chapter member of the American Philatelic Society.
Club meetings are always open to the general public, whether they are in-person or virtual.
While the formal part of the club meeting normally starts at 7 p.m., many members arrive by 6:30 p.m. to buy, sell and/or trade. However, always check the Schedule page on the website for any changes to the time and/or venue.
Benefits
The meetings are a great place to network with other enthusiastic philatelists.
You will have the opportunity to discuss, swap, buy and sell stamps with other members.
Auctions are conducted on odd-numbered months and the club also holds a bourse for its members and members of other local clubs every few months.
A social event is conducted each year by the club. Members’ costs for this event are subsidized by the club.
Members can sign out library books for a month at a time but can extend their time period if no other member requests those books. Some items include the Scott Volume 1 through 6, Scott US Specialized and Scott Classic catalogs.
