Note: we do not send stamps to anyone. We do have a special table at our stamp show, EPASS, where young and new collectors can select stamps for free. So, if you are new to stamp collecting, please try to attend our next EPASS and we’re confident that you will find some nice stamps for your collection!

Attention members!

Due to a combination of factors, including the increase of COVID cases, the club officers have decided to resume conducting our club meetings via ZOOM – at least for the winter months. Please note that the club meetings have been moved to the first Monday of each month for January, February, March, and possibly for April. For more details, please see the Schedule page on the website.

About Us

The Allentown Philatelic Society (aka. Allentown Stamp Club) is a chapter member of the American Philatelic Society.

Club meetings are always open to the general public, whether they are in-person or virtual.

During the pandemic, we frequently conducted our monthly meetings via ZOOM. However, we have resumed face to face meetings and hope that it will continue to be safe to do so. Please check this website each month for information about the time and location of future meetings.

We hope to continue in-person meetings in 2022. The venues for these meetings is under review and we encourage you to check this website for the latest information on the date, time, and location for the scheduled meetings.

While the formal part of the meeting normally starts at 7 p.m., many members arrive by 6:30 p.m. to buy, sell and/or trade.

The meetings are a great place to network with other enthusiastic philatelists.

You will have the opportunity to discuss, swap, buy and sell stamps with other members.

Auctions are conducted on odd-numbered months and the club also holds a bourse for its members every few months.

An annual dinner event is conducted by the club at a local restaurant; members’ costs are subsidized by the club.

Members can sign out library books for a month at a time but can extend their time period if no other member requests those books. Some items include the Scott Volume 1 through 6, Scott US Specialized and Scott Classic catalogs.
